Greenwashing fad also affects the packaging sector

More and more companies are talking about words such as sustainability or ecological responsibility. In this sense, they focus their marketing and communication strategies on spreading a message of care for the planet and environmental sustainability to the four winds.

However, in some cases this message is completely paradoxical to what their actions demonstrate. While they say they care for the environment, their actions do the opposite.

Many companies have used greenwashing to set themselves apart from the competition even if it means misleading consumers. Lying in such terms does not help reduce greenhouse gases or reverse climate change.
