If you are looking for furniture packaging solutions for export, you should take a few minutes to read this article because at CMB we can be of great help. Our experience of almost four decades manufacturing packaging machinery for the furniture and wood sector, among many others, makes us a good ally to protect your products before exporting them.
We are well aware, and you probably are too, that the market offers a wide range of packaging solutions for small products. However, when it comes to medium and large products, things are different.
On the one hand, there are not as many solutions available to choose from. On the other hand, few of the packaging solutions that exist offer guarantees of an efficient after-sales service and the option of obtaining spare parts for the machinery quickly and efficiently.
CMB Barberán is one of the few companies dedicated to the manufacture of packaging machinery for medium and large products that guarantee an after-sales service and spare parts to customers.
Investing in a packaging machine for furniture or other products with similar morphologies has a considerable cost and at CMB we are well aware of this. For this reason, we provide our customers with spare parts and modules so that they can adapt our machines to the new needs that may arise, with the aim of extending the useful life of the machinery as much as possible and so that they can always have their machines up to date without becoming obsolete.
Packing furniture for export is no easy task
Exporting any type of product is a long and complex process in which it is essential to protect the product in question as much as possible. Because exports involve long journeys and on these journeys the products, in this case furniture, are exposed to many external agents that can damage them.
To begin with, furniture exports can be by land or by sea. In both cases it must be ensured that the furniture is fully secured and that it has a protective layer that insulates it from the products around it and also from the space in which it is placed during transport. This protective layer should be like a thick second skin and should be completely adapted to the shape of the furniture.
In the case of maritime transport for furniture exports, there is another factor that could greatly damage the furniture, and that is humidity. The packaging used in these cases must completely protect the product from humidity, otherwise it could suffer significant damage. In land transport, humidity is not as intense as in sea transport, but furniture must still be protected from dust, dust mites and other microorganisms that feed on wood.
Another factor that must be taken into account is that furniture has straight corners, and if they come into contact with another piece of furniture or with a harder material than wood, it is easy for them to suffer damage. This is why it is important to protect them, especially the bases and corners with the most suitable protective corner protectors.
