The COMBO is a heated packaging machine that is composed of different modules, each of which has a different sized polyethylene shrink film reel. When a package is placed on the conveyor belt or conveyor table, the machine automatically detects its size and directs it to the module with the most suitable film reel for its dimensions. The product is wrapped with the shrink film and directed to the shrink tunnel, where heat is applied and we obtain a completely packaged product protected from external agents. Immediately afterwards, a package with other dimensions can start this process without having to stop the machine to change the film reel.

The Barberán ERB shrink wrapper is a heat shrink packaging machine that uses heat-shrinkable polyethylene film. Moreover, as it is heat-shrinkable, it allows to avoid as much as possible the waste generated by film surpluses.

In the Super P module, this extra layer of protection is added and then finished by wrapping with stretch film by means of a rotating crown or shrink tunnel.
The extra layer of protection that Super P offers for your products can be made from the packaging material that best suits your needs. From stretch polyethylene to bubble polyethylene, kraft paper, cardboard in rolls or foamed polyethylene. CMB industrial packaging machines are used in those industries that require packaging medium and large products. While we specialize in wood and aluminium parts, we also have extensive experience designing machines to cover other materials and smaller products.
Among our clients, manufacturers of furniture of different types, doors, windows, irons, textiles, mouldings, blinds and tubes, among others, stand out. As these are products regularly, normally this type of customer select between one of our models to pack cold, according to their specific requirements.
Depending on the level of protection they need, they can decide between the ERL, COOLPACK and SUPER P models. It is worth clarifying that those who choose this type of machine generally do not sell their products to the end customer, since the cold packaging does not have enough duration or the finish indicated for the B2C type trade.
However, we are also selected by factories that produce mattresses, automotive accessories and other products, usually irregularly shaped and / or that need better quality finishes to be able to sell to the end customer.
In these cases, our customers use heat packaging machines that use heat shrink film, since this fits perfectly to the shape of the products and even allow seeing the contents of their interior. Depending on the level of protection they need, the characteristics of the materials and the shape of the products to be packaged, this type of industry can choose between the ERB, ERS and COMBO models.
At CMB, we strive to wrap our products with recyclable materials and to design smart machines that can save energy and minimize material waste. In this way, we aim to reduce the carbon footprint of the packaging process of our machines as much as possible.
Both the shrink polyethylene film used by CMB cold packaging machines, and the shrink film used by heat machines, are recyclable. The use of packaging of this type for industry allows companies to contribute to the care of the environment and minimize the contribution to the carbon footprint.
On the other hand, although cold packaging machines – such as the ERL, COOLPACK and SUPER P series – use less energy than heat machines, we have developed the Ecotherm system, which prevents temperature losses, optimizes the recirculation of heat flow and improves film shrinkage. In this way, it allows reducing by up to 45% the amount of energy used in the heat packaging process.

At CMB, we have been manufacturing industrial packaging machinery for large and medium-sized products for more than 30 years. We have six different models of packaging machines: three of them are for cold packaging and the other three are for heat packaging.
Cold packaging machines use stretch film and have the great advantage of spending less energy than those that use heat, so they can make a big difference in saving costs. The models we have in CMB are the following:
- ERL: it is a wraparound rotary baler that is ideal for packaging large products, such as furniture of all sizes, kit furniture, doors, windows, stacked plates, textiles, and many more.
- COOLPACK: it is a packaging machine that combines bubble film with stretch film, allowing to obtain high protection along with low-energy consumption.
- SUPER P: This model allows a wide variety of packaging materials to be combined in overlapping layers, such as shrink polyethylene, film mousse, bubble film and sheet cardboard. This allows you to achieve the highest level of protection.
Heat packaging machines, on the other hand, are those that are ideal for packaging products with irregular shapes, since they use heat shrink film that adjusts to various shapes. In this way, it also has a more aesthetic and durable finish than that obtained with cold machines.
- ERB: This shrink baler is composed of two packaging modules: the welding head and the shrink tunnel.
- ERS: The overlapping shrink baler is designed to work with shrink film and under-overlapping welding to cover the product completely.
- COMBO: it is ideal for packaging products of different sizes without interruptions, since the system detects the dimensions of the package to be packed and selects the appropriate film reel for each product.
